Clemson player apologizes for grabbing OSU player

Dabo Swinney discusses Alabama OC change challenges behind playing a true freshman quarterback

The Clemson defense took "illegal touching" to a whole new level on Saturday night in the Fiesta Bowl against Ohio State.

Christian Wilkins, a defensive lineman for the Tigers, approached Ohio State running back Curtis Samuel, who was down on the turf face first after being tackled.

After grabbing the player's buttock, his hand drifts further south until he is dangerously close to Wilkins' genitals. Unfortunately for Samuel, Christian Wilkins of the Tigers chose to lean over and grab his buttocks before digging in for an oil check. That could be considered, if viewed in good faith, merely a move by Wilkins to keep his balance. It looks quite painful for Samuels.

Officials on the field didn't penalize Wilkins. It's not clear if that's because they didn't see what had happened or just didn't think much of it.
