Is "The Year Of Xbox One Scorpio", Says Microsoft Execs

Project Scorpio is set to release late 2017 but while we wait let's try and figure out what features it might bring

As the new year kicks off, many in the games industry send their wishes to fellow users and fan throughout the Internet, and among those people there's even someone in the Xbox team who looks pretty hyped up for what's happening in a matter of few months.

Microsoft ended their press conference a year ago on a high note with the unveiling of Project Scorpio.

Xbox Project Scorpio is slated to roll out in Holiday 2017, but speculations about the capabilities of the gaming console have continued on ever since it was announced at E3 2016.

Microsoft's head of Xbox marketing, Aaron Greenberg, has taken to Twitter to fuel the hype for the upcoming Xbox Scorpio.

The tweets worked their magic and fans got excited and asked Xbox head, Phil Spencer, to announce the release date for the upcoming console.

Apart from all this, the Xbox One S is also equipped with the best controller in the market, as well as optimal online gaming experience with Live. Microsoft aimed to design a platform with more balanced specs rather than focusing on just one game-enhancing component of the console.

According to, the Project Scorpio would not be the only console in the market by then, given that Nintendo Switch, and PS4 pro would be there as well, both of which are also next generations of the said consoles, most of which have a much lower anticipated price range as well.

He further added that with 6 TFLOPS of computational power we will see games running on native 4K at high frame rates and this will set a high bar for other console manufacturers to follow.

Now that we've entered 2017, it's time to boost the hype for Project Scorpio, Microsoft's mid-cycle Xbox upgrade. Please let us know in the comment section below.
