A new Chuck Berry album is coming soon

Berry died at 90 on Saturday at his St. Louis-area home.

Immortalized by the hit "Johnny B. Goode", Berry hit the Top 10 in 1955 with "Maybellene" and went on to influence generations of musicians.

Tim Riley, professor of journalism at Emerson College, Boston-based music critic, and author of "Lennon: Man, Myth, Music".

Chuck was a pioneer for rock "n" roll in both style and sound. He was the first person inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

'For months now plans have been in place, and preparations have been made with our friends at Dualtone Records, to reveal further details and music from the album this week. About one-quarter of those were sales of his song "Johnny B Goode", which has stood the test of time and become not only one of his staples, but truly one of the greatest rock tunes of all time. Paisley slipped a cover of the Berry classic "Johnny B. Goode" into his setlist agenda during his main closing performance.

This was only one of the numerous tributes payed to Chuck Berry over the last couple of days.

Chuck - whose real name was Charles Edward Anderson Berry Sr. - is survived by his wife Themetta "Toddy" Suggs and his four children, Charles Berry Jr., Ingrid Berry, Aloha Berry and Melody Exes Berry-Eskridge.

When Chuck Berry was honored with the 2014 Polar Music Prize (the musical equivalent of the Nobel Prize), Keith Richards said, "Chuck Berry, he just leaped out of the radio at me".

There will be no autopsy, reports say, because Chuck Berry died what is considered a "natural death". "He will be missed but remembered by everyone who ever loved rock "n" roll".
