Fox News Pulls Judge Andrew Napolitano Following Controversial Trump Wiretapping Claims

Stelter Fox host is anti-journalism

Whitfield said she found it odd that Trump tried the shift the blame for his "wiretaps" scandal on to Fox News commentator Andrew Napolitano, given the "rather cozy relationship" the president enjoys with the network.

The claim was circulated by Fox News personality, Judge Andrew Napolitano. The claim originated from a discredited conspiracy theorist on Kremlin-backed news network, RT. "He peddles information from Fox".

Napolitano has not been on the air since last Thursday, and "The Judge's" absence was especially noted during today's confirmation hearing for Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch. They say no. The intelligence sources with whom I spoke say yes.

Trump also was asked by a German reporter whether there were tweets that he regrets, and he responded, "Very seldom".

Napolitano said that according to sources, the Obama administration went to British intelligence agency GCHQ to surveil Trump.

Fox News, however, did no such thing, forcing its anchors to walk back Napolitano's statement.

A request for comment from Fox News was not immediately returned.
