Corbyn targets 'tax-dodging wealth extractors' in election campaign

The Tories are trying to make it a choice between the Labour leader and Theresa May as who would make the best Prime Minister.

"It is the establishment versus the people and it is our historic duty to make sure that the people prevail", Corbyn told party supporters in central London.

"But of course those people don't want us to win".

"Primarily, it's about getting and retaining tariff-free access to the European market".

It comes after shadow chancellor John McDonnell on Wednesday said the Government should "put the deal to Parliament and possibly to the country overall".

The party's leaders¸ Caroline Lucas and Jonathan Bartley, have written to Jeremy Corbyn and Tim Farron offering the deal.

The Tories to seek a crushing victory, the SNP to gain a mandate for a second independence referendum, the Liberal Democrats to lock in recovery and Labour to get shot of Jeremy Corbyn.

After Butler suggested "the Conservative Party always try to rig democracy", Mair pointed out Labour voted in favour of the vote: "If Labour thought the election was rigged, why did you support it?"

"This can only mean more uncertainty for Britain, more risk and a future that is less secure".

The anonymous party sources "said the move will reflect badly on the party leader".

Further sources close to Corbyn messaged RT to say: "We are denying it".

Corbyn recently said the party was considering a Land Value Tax (LVT) to replace business rates, which caused problems for the government this year when small businesses in London and the South East found they would be hit by sharp increases in tax.

He said: "We don't accept that it is natural for Britain to be governed by a ruling elite the City and the tax-dodgers and we don't accept that the British people just have to take what they're given".

He singled out Mike Ashley, Sports Direct owner and Sir Philip Green who faced severe criticism from Corbyn of the BHS pension scandal.

"I don't play by their rules, and if a Labour government is elected on the 8th of June we won't play by their rules either", he said.

"It is wealth that should belong to the majority and not the tiny minority".

The Conservatives are set to include in their election manifesto May's promises to take Britain out of the single market and cut European Union migration after Brexit, according to the Daily Mail.

Despite a new opinion poll putting Labour as many as 24 points behind the Tories, he insisted the election result was not a "foregone conclusion", declaring: "Things can, and they will, change".

He made clear Labour's manifesto would be "fully costed and will be all accounted for and paid for".
