Nintendo sold over 906k Switch consoles in the United States last month

Nintendo Direct 2017 US and UK Start Time: Major Focus On Nintendo Switch Games

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild also set new records as it's become Nintendo's fastest-selling launch game of all time, as well as the fastest-selling entry in the Zelda series. Citing numbers from NPD (so we're talking North America here), the Switch sold over 906,000 consoles in March, with Breath of the Wild moving 925,000+ copies for Switch and nearly 460,000 for Wii U-also not a bad number, considering that the (roughly ten million) Wii U owners are mostly Nintendo diehards who were likely to buy a Switch anyway.

The Switch is the fastest selling Nintendo system ever.

A player of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" recently made an impossible stunt that made fans in awe of his feat, which can be seen in a video that can be viewed down below.

REDMOND, Wash., April 13, 2017 - Nintendo Switch, the new home gaming system that people can also take on the go, has sold faster in its launch month than any other video game system in Nintendo history.

It's also predicted Nintendo will have sold 25.7 million Switch units by the time this smaller console launches - a fairly ambitious goal. More than a few gamers have purchased Zelda: Breath of the Wild on Switch simply because they can't find a Switch console in stores. Nintendo Switch dock will be priced at $89.99 and will include the dock, AC adapter, and an HDMI cable. This is the fifth month in a row that the PS4 has led the Xbox One console in sales within the US. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Arms, Splatoon 2, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Super Mario Odyssey are all slated to launch this year, which should result in some quality games for Switch owners.

Nintendo just revealed some pretty impressive numbers for the Nintendo Switch sales last month. Nintendo confirmed that the game sold 1.3 million copies, 925,000 of which were for the Switch, and the rest were sold for the Wii U. Nintendo said that was because some users bought both a limited edition of the game and another version.
