Brie Larson stars in emotional The Glass Castle trailer

Brie Larson Clashes With Woody Harrelson in 'The Glass Castle' Trailer

Larson's "Short Term 12" writer/director Destin Daniel Cretton wrote and directed "The Glass Castle", with Andrew Lanham as co-writer. Lionsgate has dropped the first trailer for the film.

A wonderful journey of four kids and their parents, based on Jeannette Walls's memoir of the same name. Check it out below.

The film is based on the memoir written by Jeannette Walls about "a young girl who comes of age in a dysfunctional family of nonconformist nomads". When she was a child, her family constantly moved to a new town due to her father's inability to find a stable job. "Walls' eccentric mother (Naomi Watts) and alcoholic father (Woody Harrelson) would stir the children's imagination with hope as a distraction to their poverty". Soon she becomes the journalist that we see in the film. Check out the Glass Castle trailer below, along with new stills in the gallery!

Judging by the painful honesty of her performance as Ma in Room, if there's anyone in Hollywood qualified to truthfully tell the story of a complicated woman, it's Larson. "She understands how to be strong and vulnerable at the same time, how you can fight and be scared at the same time".

"I hope that in seeing my story, it makes people think about what they've been through", Walls says.

Oscar® victor Brie Larson brings Jeannette Walls's best-selling memoir to life as a young woman who, influenced by the joyfully wild nature of her deeply dysfunctional father (Woody Harrelson), found the fiery determination to carve out a successful life on her own terms.
