Destiny 2 PC Features Detailed, Full Gameplay Trailer

It sounds like the series first foray into the PC space will be a delayed one, but fans may agree that it's certainly better than skipping the platform altogether as the original Destiny did.

After two years of being stuck in the pipeline, Bungie has officially introduced the much-anticipated Destiny 2 on PC to the public in Los Angeles, California on Thursday. Caught in the maelstrom are the iconic characters Zavala, Ikora and Cayde-6.

On Blizzard's official website, the company shared that their focus in terms of supporting non-Blizzard games is exclusively around Destiny 2 and they now have no other short- or long-term plans to support other third-party titles on Battle.net.

While Destiny 2 was revealed to the world will a lot of fanfare, it seems that there's some trouble in paradise.

Destiny 2 will be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on September 8. The new game will also come with new public events, strikes and a brand-new raid. Below you can look at the first seven minutes of the first mission called "Homecoming". You'll now have Kinetic, Energy, and Power weapons, which will allow you to have similar weapon types in multiple slots. It has been confirmed that PvP (Player vs. Player) will be 4v4 in the Crucible, which is definitely more competitive.

First up, there's the good: Destiny 2 on PC will support many things that PC gamers want, including 4K resolution and an uncapped frame rate.

One new area is the European Dead Zone, which was cut from Destiny 1 way back in the day.

Based on Blizzard's announcement, Destiny 2 will also have an Expansion Class. If you're raiding and need an extra slot, you can open up your group to a player looking for a raid.

However, in a more text-heavy press release issued after the show, there's a decent summary of what we can expect in the PC release. Here's hoping we get more information, maybe a detailed developer diary about multiplayer, in the coming months to ease concerns.
