Wizkid Nominated For Seven Billboard Music Awards

Wizkid may have missed out on a Grammy earlier this year, but his rise on the global music scene has continued with the Nigerian star bagging seven nominations at the Billboard Music Awards.

Billboard ranks potential winners based on their song sales, streams, radio airplay, live tours and social engagement.

The Billboard Music Award is an honour given by Billboard, a publication and music popularity chart, covering the music business.

They will also square up for major categories such as Top Artist, Top Male Artist and Top Billboard 200 Artist.

In the award category, popular hitmakers Drake and The Chainsmokers lead the nomination pack with 22 nods. The singer confessed that he found out about it on Twitter.
