Steve's ex sues him for damaging her 'soul'

Vaughn's suit was filed by Essie Berry, a civil rights activist and not an attorney. News has learned, for upwards of $60 million dollars.

A week after Steve Harvey issued a controversial note to his staff, his ex has issued her own sort of memo.

"The suit is rambling at times, but Mary's main point is she's emotionally and physically destroyed after losing her son, her businesses, and the joy of Mother's Days", summarized TMZ.

Among the allegations leveled by Vaughn are child endangerment, torture, conspiracy against rights, kidnapping, murder, breach of contract and intentional infliction of emotional distress. She claims that during their marriage, which lasted from 1996 until their contentious divorce in 2005, she was allegedly subjected to "prolonged torture with the infliction of severe mental pain and suffering". In fact, a YouTube video she posted back in 2011 made headlines, with Harvey even issuing a response. "Mary Lee Harvey was not homeless or evicted from her home", Dry remarked, "[and Steve did not] withhold or turn the child against [her]". The pair endured a nasty divorce in 2005, two years prior to his third marriage to current wife Majorie Bridges.

Steve, who is now married to fashion blogger Marjorie, is yet to comment on this report. There was a lot of drama as both Mary and Steve fought for custody of their son. "In fact, [Mary] was awarded three homes in the property settlement", Daily News writers continued, "and also received $40,000 per month through March 2009 and then an additional $1.5 million", sometime thereafter. He is now married to his third wife Marjorie Elaine Harvey, whom he married in 2007.

The documents dramatically ended with a desperate description of her life. However, people are questioning whether her new allegations are true, or if she is using them to garner some media attention.
