Temperatures will start to warm up on Wednesday under sunny skies with a high of 78 and a low of 61. Any storms that do develop could produce heavy rain and frequent lightning, also gusty wind and hail. Winds out of the northeast at 5-10 miles per hour gusting to 15 miles per hour at times. North northwest wind 5 to 10 miles per hour. Mostly cloudy, with a low about 70.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. today.

Next Sunday will see more clouds than sun with a few showers or storms possible. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Models are showing best chance for rain on Thursday will be South of the Savannah River.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy. Chance of rain is 50 percent.

Forecasters said high temperatures in the valley likely will be in the upper 90s, with a chance to crack the century mark in some locations. Thursday's chance of rain is 30%, with a 40% chance of rain on Friday.

SATURDAY: Partly cloudy with a 30% chance of thunderstorms.

We clear back out Wednesday and Thursday with high temperatures climbing from the seventies to 80 degrees by Thursday. Showers and t'storms are more likely on Sunday as the cold front will finally make progress towards CT.

Friday will be partly sunny. Sunday will have some extra cloud cover and a chance for a few early showers, and maybe a pop up storm during the afternoon.
