Paper analysis: UPSC civil services prelims 2017

UPSC Civil Services examination 2017: Here is a list of dos and don'ts for the preliminary round on 18 June

Across the State, 30,410 registered for the preliminary exam held at Tirupati, Anantapur and Visakhapatnam, besides Vijayawada. In a press note, the UPSC urged candidates to download admit cards and take a printout of it beforehand.

UPSC Answer Key for Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be visible if the authority releases it.

The preliminary examination consists of two papers consisting objective type or multiple choice questions: General Studies (GS) or Paper 1 and Aptitude or Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) or Paper 2. Candidates can get the IAS answer key 2017 from the official website www.upsc.gov.in.

In 2017, the apex exam body Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will select the candidates through the Civil Service Examination 2017 (Pre and Main Exam) to fill 980 Group A and Group B posts in Indian Civil Services under various cadres, including IAS, IPS, IFS.

Lakhs of students undertake the UPSC Civil Services examinations each year from all over the country. All the aspirants have appeared for the examination with great aspiration. The number of candidates who registered for UPSC Prelims previous year was approximately 11.36 lakh.

Students can Check UPSC Unofficial Answer key 2017 by IAS Institutions websites like BYJU's Classes, Career Launcher, Chankya IAS academy, Rau's IAS circle, RAO'S, un academy Roman Saini, Sriram's IAS Academy Will be released answer key with question papers. Both paper I and paper II carries 200 marks. As per the revised rules, the candidates are required to score minimum 33% marks in GS Paper 2, while the marks obtained in GS Paper 1 will be used for screening the candidates for mains.

Soon after the completion of the exam, web portals managed by study centres have uploaded analysis of the question paper. The main examination will be conducted on 28 October 2017. This is the central level examination conducted by UPSC.
