YotaPhone 3 officially confirmed, likely to arrive later this year

The YotaPhone 3 is officially arriving later this year

The first YotaPhone was announced a couple of years ago and it was unlike anything on the market back then.

The YotaPhone 3 smartphone has been officially announced and prices given for the two variants that will be available. According to a Russian publication, the YotaPhone 3 will release in China in September, and pre-orders in Russia will begin during the same timeframe. Precise information about most of the specifications has not been detailed by Yota Devices yet, nor has there been a release date given.

What do we know about the Yotaphone 3? You see, Yotaphones have two displays, a traditional colour display on the front, and a grayscale eInk display on the back. The YotaPhone 2 was said to be coming stateside in the second half of 2015, but it was called off shortly after a crowdfunding campaign was launched to help cover the costs. Reportedly, YotaPhone 3 will go on sale this fall in China, and even it will be possible to buy a modification to 128 GB of internal memory, however, already for $ 450.

Hopefully things will change this time around, and there will be a USA version of the YotaPhone 3.

The original YotaPhone was launched in 2013 and is the first android smartphone to sport a secondary e-ink display. It was also due to be released in North America.
