Bruce Arians Blames Cardinals' Ugly Season On Week 1 Loss To Patriots

Bruce Arians has been making his rounds promoting his new book “The Quarterback Whisperer How to Build an Elite NFL Quarterback.”

Bruce Arians revealed this week that he was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma back in December and had a cancerous piece of his kidney removed, but the 64-year-old coach does not sound like a man who plans on slowing down.

On Tuesday, Arians revealed the full scope of his 2016 health issues, which previously we knew to include diverticulitis and chest pains: he dealt with kidney cancer.

I present you both the most and somehow least surprising National Football League news of the day: Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians drank paint as a kid ... at least twice.

"Football kind of gave me a chance to get rid of the thoughts, and I poured myself into those last three games", Arians said.

Not Released
Because he couldn’t drink milk as a kid Bruce Arians thought it would be a good idea to knock back paint

Arians has been making his media rounds to promote his new book "The Quarterback Whisperer: How to Build an Elite NFL Quarterback", where he talks about working with quarterbacks like Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Andrew Luck, and Carson Palmer throughout his career. He posted a 9-3 record in 2012, stepping in as an interim coach for the Indianapolis Colts.

"I now realize more than ever nothing is guaranteed in life", Arians surmised. "Roses need to be smelled, sunsets savored, time with family cherished".

"Moving forward, I want to be a beacon of hope for others struggling with cancer", Arians penned. My fight is their fight.

The coach also had issues with migraines when he coached at Temple University, according to ESPN.
