Anna Paquin's breasts air on BBC News at Ten

Anna Paquin

The breasts belonged to lead actress Anna Paquin, who seemed thrilled about the extra screen time.

Some eagle eyed viewers caught a shot of the True Blood star from a topless scene during live television.

Anna describes the scene shown as "fairy land graveyard sex", where her character, Sookie Stackhouse, gets intimate with Robert Kazinsky's half fairy, half vampire character.

The back left monitor in the 12-second clip above shows a sex scene from "True Blood", during which Paquin takes off her top as well as her bra.

"My breasts! So amusing on so many levels", Anna tweeted. "This some of the funniest shit I've seen in a while!"

Presenter Sophie Raworth was reading the news, unaware that she had been upstaged by the footage.

Anna's husband Stephen Moyer, 47, who played Bill Compton in the hit HBO series, also said: "This is awesome and making me very happy". The True Blood actress became a hot topic on social media after a news video accidentally displayed her breasts to audiences.

One person on Twitter pointed out that "BBC said it was looking into the matter, saying in a statement it was "establishing the facts". "What's there to look into my t**s photobombed the news because someone was watching #trueblood in front of the camera".
