Man United 'want to win everything' this season - Pogba

Manchester City's manager Pep Guardiola during the FA Premier League match against West Ham United at the City of Manchester Stadium Lane

Ahead of their Premier League opener, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is confident his side can maintain his ideal second-season record.

Jose Mourinho praised debutant Nemanja Matic's display and the way Manchester United's new boys continue to settle into his "amazing group".

"I think in the moments where they were moving more the ball, of course it was hard for us in the midfield". It is unacceptable for them to be so poor at Old Trafford, especially when the relegated Hull City managed to win eight times at their KCom stadium.

During last season, only Zlatan Ibrahimovic was apparently great all season long and this year that has to change. "I don't think I am in a position of moaning, crying, contesting or to say I am not happy with it", the Portugese continued.

"Twenty five per cent [left] means one of four, and we've got a central defender that can play in many other positions, which is important", said Mourinho during his press conference, ahead of the club's first Premier League game of the season against West Ham.

"Manchester United can't be as bad as last season".

"I hope both of us can help the team and I'm sure both of us are going to be ready to play".

Just three months after lifting the Premier League trophy, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has described the new season as the most "difficult" test of his career.

Pep Guardiola believes that top clubs are forced to pay over the odds for quality players but says the premium is even greater when dealing with Premier League clubs.

"But what the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City can do, they can do that and good luck to them".

Obiang is by all accounts a very good player himself and won't give Pogba a moments rest on the ball. I'm going to be courageous and say the game will finish 4-0. "He tried. Of course he missed an open goal but he scored his goal and had a good fight against two central defenders". And while he made no secret of his desire to see one more player come in, the 54-year-old is adamant it will not make or break United's season.

Lukaku is expected to score loads of goals, while Pogba will have to be much better if he is to vindicate himself from the £89m tag.

Everton - Ronald Koeman has done a fantastic job and the signing of Wayne Rooney is magical for the player and the club.
