MK Dons to host Swansea in Carabao Cup Second Round

The League Cup has gone through many guises down the years, sponsored by the likes of Worthingtons, Carling, Rumbelows and Milk down the years, the current incumbent Carabao have certainly been getting their monies worth in terms of exposure on social media!

In a shambolic televised draw which initially showed City to be the away side, it eventually transpired that the Canaries were at home in the second round of the competition, now named the Carabao Cup.

The teams will play each other in the second round of the Carabao Cup.

Things didn't get too much better for the energy drink firm in the second round draw last night, although this time Sky Sports' John Salako appeared to struggle with the format of the draw.

The Whites were drawn to play the tie away from home but Newport were given permission by the EFL to play any second round tie away from home due to the resurfacing of their Rodney Parade pitch.

Premier League Swansea City go to MK Dons, Cardiff City host Championship rivals Burton Albion and League Two Newport County are at Leeds United.

After that confusion was resolved it was confirmed that QPR were indeed at home to Brentford in the next round.

Meanwhile, Fulham have been drawn at home to League One side Bristol Rovers.

The Carrow Road tie is scheduled to be played in the week commencing Monday, August 21, between Championship trips to Aston Villa on Saturday, August 19 and Millwall on Saturday, August 26 for the Canaries.
