Mobile announces Revvl, its own super-cheap Android Nougat phone

Along with the official announcement of the REVVL, T-Mobile also introduced a new program by the name of "Smartpicks".

While T-Mobile has not officially announced the REVVL T1, the company's representatives from their support channel on Twitter have chimed in, seemingly confirming the price and its availability.

T-Mobile's new phone, made by Alcatel but branded as the carrier's and called the Revvl, will cost only $5 monthly, while AT&T is adding LG's mid-tier K20 model for only $4 per month.

The details of the T-Mobile REVVL and LG G Pad X2 8.0 Plus, including the latter's revealing promotional renders, are still public and accessible for anyone to see, by the way.

Accompanying the phone's launch, the company has also adjusted its Jump! program, so that people can use it to buy cheaper phones and not just high-end devices. And they require an 18-month lease - a year and a half - then you'll have to choose what to do. AT&T's plan allows for an upgrade with trade-in after two years or paying off the phone over 30 months.

T-Mobile's Revvl isn't going to turn any heads, but for $125, it doesn't look bad at all. If Alcatel/TCL is behind this hardware, T-Mobile must have dictated the design-it lacks the left-side power button all the other TCL phones have. The Smartpicks lineup includes the Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime, the LG K20 Plus, and the ZTE ZMAX PRO. That device likely costs just a bit above $120 full retail - we'll find out how much it actually costs, soon. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat.
