Rig crashes, spills frozen pizzas on I-30, halts traffic for hours

Frozen Pizzas Truck Wreck

I-30 was littered with frozen pizzas Wednesday afternoon after a tractor trailer carrying the food items crashed.

Arkansas State Police spokesman Bill Sadler said the truck and a auto were both going west when the vehicles "sideswiped into each other", and the truck crashed.

"But there's a lot of frozen pizzas laying out on the interstate right now", Straessle told Arkansas Online.

No one was hurt in the ordeal.

Officials shut down the highway in both directions, keeping one carriageway closed for four hours while crews picked up the pizzas.

The highway, which goes around the south side of Little Rock, is part a major link that connects Dallas and points west to Memphis, Tennessee, and points north and east.

Traffic on a stretch of interstate in Arkansas was brought to a greasy halt when a truck crash spilled hundreds of frozen pizzas onto the road. "Expect delays", the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) Tweeted.
