Scaramucci: Trump Has to 'Move Away' from 'Bannon-Bart Nonsense'

New Theory Trump America Protected by Loose Alliance

"I think people are probably reluctant to tell [Trump] the truth", Trump's former adviser said, naming Trump daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner as two possible exceptions. "I think you're seeing a direct line from what happened this weekend to those choices".

Scaramucci's frustration with Bannon was put on full display last month after New Yorker reporter Ryan Lizza published an article detailing an expletive-laced phone conversation he had with Scaramucci.

The interview with Stephanopoulos was Scaramucci's first since he was sacked 11 days into his White House job. "I think he needed to be much harsher as it related to the white supremacists and the nature of that".

"With the moral authority of the presidency, you have to call that stuff out", he added.

The White House on Sunday released a statement that said "of course" Trump condemns "white supremacists, KKK, neo-nazi and all extremist groups".

Anthony Scaramucci repeatedly blasted President Donald Trump's top political adviser Steve Bannon amid reports that the controversial aide may soon be ousted from the White House.

"You're not going change the president", Scaramucci said.

"I think there are elements inside of Washington, also inclusive in the White House, that are not necessarily abetting the president's interests or his agenda".

Scaramucci reiterated that he felt the interview with Lizza was "off the record" and it was a "very deceitful thing" that Lizza did.

Scaramucci, who held the position as Trump's top spokesman for 11 days, gave ABC his first interview since he was sacked at the end of July by Gen. John Kelly, the new White House chief of staff. It's not serving the president's interests.

He continued: "He's got to move more into the mainstream, he's got to be more into where the moderates are and the independents are that love the president".
